anyone been to the motor show??

just wondering peoples thoughts/opinions on this years melbourne motor show. any standout cars? anything missing that you think should have been there? what manufactures (exotics) are on show?

thinking of making a drive up the highway tomorrow so hopefully its worthwhile.

Went on Saturday, must say was pretty normal for a melbourne show, but not the pizzazz of a Sydney show. Best car was Astin Martin DB9 (IMHO). Otherwise didn't see anything that pushed my buttons like my own GTS does.
Bought the wife a VW Jetta Turbo (petrol) last week, didn't see much better than that either when everything taken into account.

Disappointed no VE race car ( I know Clipsal was on, but a replica would at least have been nice). New Ford Mondeo looked ok (sorry). Holden/HSV had car yard cars but showed off Camaro concept, Hummer and new Morpheous purple on an SS. So, overall nothing to get too excited about. Maybe next year.
