I know mudflaps look a bit like grandads HG sedan but up here they are afact of life. If i don't fit some i wont have any paint on the sill behind front tyres and faring behind rear tyres within 6 months. Holden sell molded fronts but don't list mudflaps for the rear on the SSV, but i have seen them fitted to and SS?????
Are the rear spoilers the same, i can't see why they would be any different. The rears i saw on the SS may not have been genuine, as she was just drivng past us on the highway.
Any ideas on were to get a full set or an alternative?

Holden sell fronts and rears as I have seen em on a Calais at a dealers on display and they had a price tag on em. Ask at you local holden dealer for a set.

Holden definitely supply both the front and rear moulded mudflaps - have them on my Calais-V ( about $ 118 for the front and rear set) which are a Holden branded option.

I reckon that your dealer has given you a bum steer.

I have ordered them to believered on mine and also they are listed as accessories on the Holden web-site when you 'build and price' your SSV.

Does your spare parts man have the micro-fische the right way around?

Good luck and cheers, Craig

Don't need mudflaps to protect your paint guys. Have a look at a HSV bodykit. They have impact tape on key areas such as skirts and the front of the rear bumper bar. I have impact tape everywhere on my cars for protection. And unless you know its there you will be hard pressed to see it.

certainly are available for the SSV, fitted when I picked it up in Jan. Front ones are moulded, rears are mounted 'flush'. A much better fit than was on the VYII.

Thanks for the input, i thought they must supply mudflaps, but when car was being delivered i just wanted the car and couldn't be bothered arguing with 18 year old parts salesman. They were gonna fit fronts and said thay dont have rears which i thought was a bit hard to believe and it would have looked odd with just front mudflaps so i just told them to forget it and finish the tow bar on the car etc for delivery. Who sells that contact tape? Where can i order some macca 779? PM if you don't mind please.
Thanks aaron

Pilbara SSV, I bought a genuine Holden set for the Calais V but then decided that they looked a bit :limpy:, but in your case they are obviously a neccessity. You can have my full set of front & rears for $50 + P&P if you like. One packet has been opened but the other is still sealed. Genuine Holden parts with warranty cards too.

Cheers
