Anybody know where to find a stat write off VE commodore? Only requirement is that its a V8. Much appreciated. If anybody knows of one, please contact me. Using gear for ICV (individually constructed vehicle)

Oh shit do VEs actualy crash to the write-off stage. I thought with their super duper electroncs, they were bulletproof LOL... ( just jokin of course).

I would point you in the direction of my wrecked Calais V which I presume will be showing up at an auction or scrap yard soonish....but it is only a 6 I'm afraid.

Most will be repaired or re-shelled at this early stage, but good luck with your searching....

repaired yes.. reshelled no. its actully illegal to reshell everywhere apart from tasmania.
BTW there was a calais V V8 with SS-V 19s at fowles a few weeks ago hit pass side not a huge amount of damage and pulled big dollars from memory.

If that's actually true, with Tassie's rather small population, it makes me really wonder why Holden would go to the trouble of keeping a number of current model body shells on the rack at HSPO, ready to sell around Australia....:hmmm:

i didnt say theres not ways around it. but i can assure you the ppl doing this know what needs to be done to get around it and they arent the ppl you me and most of the others would want to buy a car from.

why is re-shelling a car illegal? i have done it 3 times all for insurance companys.
