What do people think??? i don't mind it, makes the car stand out, only thing is it's one of those fad type colours and may wear out like previous colous have in the past......

My wife would love one in that colour for her Detailing business, but she aint getting 1 as I am not paying for her fuel as well..:teach: So she gets a Mazda 2 and I get my SV8 back:yahoo:

I'm always up for something different but would have to see one in the daylight before I could comment.
Seems a bit too purple if that makes sense, a couple of shades darker might have been the go.

Nothing wrong with Mazda 2s (cool little car)
As for the colour, I would have to see it in the daylight. I have seen a couple of pics of this colur and everytime it looks different.
They need to bring out a cherry red or similar (like on the FJ concept)

Agreed there will be alot better on fuel than mine especially when she is going through about 200+ a week of the stuff, actuallly she wants the Mazda 2 as it will be better for her to get into some of the carparks she has to go to for her work..

She won't be disapointed with it. We've had ours for almost 2 years and I can't fault it (maybe more torque would be good !).
I think you will find it fun to steer too ! - as they love corners.

Exactly my opinion, i loved the colour but unfortunatly the grange is a tad out of my price range....i waiting for the ute to show it's face :toetap: as a possible replacement for the wagon, and i'm hoping they offer that colour....it's the closest i will ever get to candy apple red....

The Grange colour loks like Red Passion to me. Not available in SS, SS-V, SV6, but available in most other models.

That car will be an absoulte bugger to sell when you want to off load it for a newbe. Watch out for extravagent colours unless its a "forever and ever" car.

The purple itself is pretty nice... what concerns me is the seeming yellow pearl over the top to try and mimic the House of Kolour paints... colourmatching will be a nightmare for any repairs - imagine getting the degree of yellow off by even a poofteenth of a decimal point, and it would stand out like the proverbial dogs balls.
I don't think it'll take too long for this colour to be re-christened "Hamburglar Purple"...
Does anyone know that it's REAL colour name is????

Looks like the old cadbury schweppes cars, kinda reminds me of the old violet crumble wrapper colour. I think this will date very quickly.

Are you kiding, that colour is hidious.
Holden would have to have one of the worst hero colour ranges going!
Money would be better spent on some deep reds & blues and a nicer black...

dont like the new colour, like most of the hero colours it will hurt u when u go to sell it or trade it in, those colours are ok now but in a year or so are shocking!
dont like it at all!
i had a bloke with a VY SS in hothouse, listend to the valuers ringing around for prices and most of them said they would of payed more if it wasnt hot house lol

I can just see it. Its that time of the month for the ladies and all you can see are purple cadbury VE SS's being chased by hundreds of ladies who need a chocolate fix :driving:

That's what popped into my head. Cadbury reps can drive those without getting a paint colour change. :)

I always thought the colour of Cadbury would look good on an RX3... it defninately doesn't look too good on the VE IMHO...

I don't mine it. I saw one for the first time today in the sunlight at a car dealer, and it didn't look too bad. Probably still wouldn't get one in that colour through, I think you could get pretty sick of it pretty quickly.

g,day boys,
i 've been going to join for ages, and now i have.
i've grown up with holdens and i'm totaly nuts about the v2 monaro and collect anything to do with it.
my missus says its not healthy! lol
i used to own an auto hothouse green cv8, but sold that for a six speed flame monaro ( much more fun!).
past rides have been :
red EH,
5 litre vt berlina,
black sv8,
tungsten 5.7 vx calais.
but now my current ride is a keeper.
i reckon that new purple doesn't suit the VE shape.............would look more cooler on a monaro.

the purple looks rancid!!!
yuk.
the Cosmo on VYII was it? was a nice looking colour when that was released... they've lost the plot a little of late though... and the new limey yellowy babyshit green is not a nice one either.
bring on the subtle deep changing colours of the VS days... Cherry black and Raven mica were my two fav's... my old ute was Raven mica, nice colour!!!
