Does anyone have a tip on getting buble gum/chewy off my rear carpet?
One of the kids snuck in the car with a chewy and must have lost it while fighting in the backseat about what movie to watch.................:demon: :shiner:

Stick some ice cubes on it until it hardens, then it should lift out ok or allow you to break it apart

Eucalyptus Oil works really well. Just rub it on with a cloth. And it should not leave a mark or anything as I have used it on clothes, lounges etc.

Freeze it with ice. The gum will go brittle and you can pick it off. Good luck!

:yup: definately the ice freeze! Works really well when the little monsters get chewy in their hair too.

Forget the ice trick it may work but too much stuffing around. The best and easiest way is with a cloth and a solvent like White Spirits or Mineral Turps. Apply to rag and rub over the chewing gum. It will disappear like magic.
Any other tips on cleaning or detailing a car just ask, i had my own detailing business for 9 yrs.

I have just completed my 'Chewing Gum Removal from Carpet' test putting ice and eucalyptus oil against each other. The gum was 'Juicy Fruit'.
The ice option does work, but you really need to get that chewy frozen before you try to remove it from the carpet.
Eucalyptus oil works very well (and cleared my sinus' too!) and the gum is quickly and easily removed.
Ice: 8/10
Euca: 10/10

Thanks for all the tips.
Used a tiny dab of mineral tuprs on a rag and chewy dissolved away.
Didn't use ice because we need that for our drinks!
Didn't use Eucalyptus oil because i was worried car would smell like nanna's old woolen cardigan.
Thanks again.
PS Kids are enjoying walking everywhere!!!!!!!!!;)
