Can someone who has a set of genuine Holden mats in their VE measure the distance between the holes in the passenger side mat?
I'm trying to work out if the holes in my mat are too far apart, or the locating lugs on the floor are too close together. One or the other is out by 2-3cm so I can't clip down both sides of the mat (unless I want a lumpy mat...)
Thanks in advance

maybe you have the mats around the wrong way? ie the left mat on the right side and the right mat on the left side?
i did this once and a similar thing happened

Definitely the right way - the driver's mat has rubber ridges on it, the passenger's is plain carpet.
Front left side, sorry.

Do the fitting lugs work the same as on previous models eg. VZ SS mats? If so the lugs are just pushed into the carpet somehow - I watched the guy fit mine and he lined the mats up and I'm sure (from memory) just pushed the lugs down into the carpet hard with a big screwdriver. About 2 mins and the mats were all in. If they're still the same you can hopefully just move a lug if required.

My passenger mat is slightly lumpy also, doesn't seem to fit as nice as the driver mat. I just put it down to holden tolerances

If they are like previous models 'Wonky' is correct, I fitted the mats into my VX SS and the lugs are just like large self tapping black plastic screws with the large lug on top that fits into the mat, they just screw through the carpet. You lay the mat in the correct postion mark where the lugs are to go and screw them into the carpet, 2 minute job, just sounds like who ever put the lugs in got the positioning wrong, just unscew one and reposition it.

The mats I placed in my SSV fit perfectly, no lumps bumps etc. The distance between the post centres is 283 mm. Hope this helps

The lugs on the VE are factory fit. All you do is buy the mat and clip it in place. Don't know whether they can be removed and realigned or not.

I had this issue when I received mine on delivery. The mats weren't lining up with the lugs. Found after much frustration that the numb nuts at Holden had the drivers and passenger wrong way around. Now they fit snuggly.

If the mat posts are already fitted, I wonder why North City Holden (Perth) charged me $30 + GST for installation???
IMO the mats are cheap and nasty anyway - I will source better ones in a few months.

I havent measured the distance in mine but my passenger side doesnt fit properly either, has a bit of a lump in it, either the lugs on the floor or the hole in the mats arent right.

well Ive never measured mine but they come out all the time which would indicate the studs are closer together then the holes
