Hi,
I have an October 2006 build VE SV6 which has some minor annoying points.
1. 1st gear is too low, and the gap to 2nd large. (of course it's a manual - car enthusiasts need to push a clutch in hey!)
2. Torque below 2500 rpm makes it hard to push it up a mountain range and keep it in the right gear
3. It is silver in colour, and the paint work is a shocker - the bonnet has blotches all over it - light /dark/light - stands out like canine testicles - the local dealer agrees, but is reluctant to rectify.
4. Audio speakers rattle like a FJ at 10,000 revs
5. Need to use a pocket knife to open the fuel door - will be rectified at next service
Apart from that - it looks great, handles well ( switch the ESP off) and gets on the program if you drive it hard.

Just can't understand why some people would option for a slush box

1. Alot of cars are like this but I dont really mind. Was always taught first is just to get going and putting around in car parks, and to always put it in second once rolling...

2. I feel for you dude. I currently drive a 94 Magna with a 3 speed Auto :( It drops down a gear just to get up any hill big or small... Maybe if you upgraded the diff gears or got a new cat back exhaust for some more power it would make the problem alot better.

3. Unfortunately this is a problem that should not of occured and I think you really need to pursue getting a new bonnet. Having a new car and putting up with that is a bit rough...

4. I hate that! Sounds like a bit of deadening is required for the speakers to stop the rattle.

5. Glad your getting that fixed! at least the dealer is going that far...

At least your happy with most of it though.. No matter how new a car is it always has a few faults but they are usually an easy fix. Congrats on your purchase:thumbsup:
