Can anyone point me in the direction of a 'Commodore' circuit racing series? Or a non exclusive Commodore series that is easy to get into for the novice/ budget conscious?

i can only recommend starting off in a car club and doing club sprints, then progress on to something like commodore cup, the biggest that will ultimately determine how far you go up the motor racing ladder will be your budget, like everything else in life

I have court on SBS' Speed Week on sunday a series that races seemingly stock looking SS/HSV against XR8/Tickford/FPRs +on the same track same time but different class Konica/ex V8 supercars, I think they called a GT class, but it wasn;t the same as GTP

I'm with Spank. Join a club and go out to the track days. Usually between $60 and $120 for the day (depends on club/track/purpose) and heaps of fun  I used to do these with Porsche and Ferrari, but there were always different marques out there having a play together ;)

I have to agree aswell. Club event's are ALWAYS your best starting place. A CAMS speed licence is only about $80 or so, and this will get you on track.
It's not Porsche or Ferrari, but I've been doing this with the Mini Club in my Cooper S for many years. Great fun, and it's cheap.
