From what has been posted elsewhere, the 'Ute' will look not much like the VE sedan and may get its' own series like the old WB. It may not share many or even any panels! It also might get a wider, stepside, separate tray to increase flexibility of load config, like a Falcon.

Yeah,
I am real keen, i have had both VY and VZ Maloo utes, i would be real keen to see the VE, going by what the pictures i have seen( computer chops) i not liking it.
The fronts i guess will look the same as VE, the backs well i hope they will look good.
I tell you holden and hsv will be on a winner, there will a big push for orders, they will be a popular ute

the ute has not been let out of lang lang due to the fact there are no car bra's for them at this point in time.
specifically the large black types that cover almost everything, they are being put together at the moment.

The only guys that would have seen the ute would be people that work for Holde's here in Adelaide or in Melbourne. Or be really close to Holden's in one way or another.
I myself have seen a VE ute Shell, But as Holden's monitor this forum it would be stupid to to say to much about it as I am not willing to throw my job away just yet.
But I am also waiting to see a completed ute like the rest of you guys.
Guess I will see it before most of you guys tho :P:P:P

The VE ute must have massive new structural designs & technology which maybe holding it back or Holden is playing the waiting game once again for a reason.
When Holden released the VU ute, it's cabin structure was superior to that of the sedans. Don't you think they world build upon their past work? The crash/impact tests maybe showing more results to improve on?
I do hope that it does shows most VE features as this is what the current model is going as, but then again, it could be a completely different model/plan like what GMC does in the states.
The media might be all over it aswell, just like how they were with seeking out the sedan! Only time will tell here guys & girls.
Someone said, Base, SV6, SS & SSV (?) models & then HSV will release it's potent Maloo. Then it may depend on what features will be added to each model. Will they think for more on the tradesman side or the show pony side for us guys & girls who love their utes?
Practicalitily is everything as you know! How many things would you change on the current VU - VZ ute platform??? I can name many!
We all just have no idea & are all guessing until we see the first pic's of the VE (?) utility!
Just my 5 minutes worth of typing practice, do you like?
