I have a twin 3" X-Force system on the stroker atm and love it. Good power, sounds awesome (bit too loud but i can live with that, hopefully the coppers can too). Previous system was a Sureflow which made the same power but was a little too barky and loud. Was happy with it on the cam only and Turbo system but it wasnt right for the stroker.

Hi guys well Today the twin 3" Xforce went on and Thanks to Terry at Mindarie custom exhausts for getting the system so quickly and catering to my lack of patience and fitting it at 5:00 this evening. So far I have only had a quik trip home but the system sounds unreal,it has a deeper more throatier note than the twin 2.5" and powerwise seems about the same but a better drive will tell.I also was very appriciative when Terry threw me the Keys to his 800km VE GTS and said off ya go.The GTS has had some good press and Fark me it deserves it it drove extreemly well very smooth and easy to drive with bags of go ,not to mention how awesome a New red GTS looks.
Terry's car also has the twin 3" Xforce with pod set up and anyone wanting the horniest sounding VE Do not hesitate this system is superb.

Thanks again Terry its been a pleasure and everything you have said about extractors, cats and catback has been spot on.

Cheers Darryn

Dazza,

Your a weapon mate, it was loud before, and now its louder. You were worried about cops before, and now its louder...

Weapon!

I guess it says something about the sound of a system when a bloke who owns a exhaust shop wants to use the off the shelf model rather than custom build one. Must sound pure horn!!

Terry is a good bloke for sure, all the boys out in Midarie were great when I got the system built for the Maloo. I think Id still go for a custom system though... would / will definately use these guys next time Im getting a system built.

Enjoy the ride mate!!

Actually any modification to a vehicle unless it was a factory option for performance is Illegal and will need an engineers certificate....
Actually Holden brought out a commodore that was illegal from the factory cant remember which series was either a VT or later.
The tyres that were fitted to the car were not load rated to the required limit..

The tyre plaque said 93 and the tyres were 92 or less..

So lets not get into the nighty gritty please...

 KPM's dual 3" is a hell of a lot cheaper than that even in stainless! See http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=70429 though I believe there is a mistake in it and the prices shown for semi stainless (mild pipes, stainless mufflers) should be for mild steel and there should be a 3rd category added for semi stainless with prices somewhere between the two shown.

Am about to order one myself after reading two reports on how good they sound, so hopefully can put some video up after it's on, or at least a sound file. Don't get the car till first Monday in April so don't hold your breath........

I am chasing a sound file for the 3" cat back on the VE. If anyone else has one they could post / pm / or e-mail me.

They look significantly bigger than the 3" pipe size, but look to flare as fat as the 5" body ones I've seen.

The twin 3" Xforce has the same configeration and muffler sizing as the twin 2.5" I took off but the 3 is quite a bit louder (which is what I wanted) due to the bigger diameter pipes.

Here's a quick vid of my new zorst its a quicky and will try and get a drive by vid.Cam idle is very smooth first start in the morning due to a very good tune, then as it gets warm the lump gets better.

Sounds great mate, do the twin 3's have the same small xmerger as the twin 2.5? The 2.5 twin pipes are **** almost in half so the merger is like 2.6inches or so.

I hope I didn't record over the kids video as well...

The twin 3 does have a smallish merge but being twin 3" it is a much bigger area anyway. From what a couple of very good exhaust shops have told me there is only a few Kw's between a off the shelf and custom system so merges etc are not the be all and end all, Markone2 has done a fair bit of exhaust testing and some of the best merges in the business didn't mean better track times. My number one goal was to get one I like the sound of and that has been achieved..

Got my twin 3" x-force system, with 3" magnaflow cats with 2nd hand 4-1 long pacies; fitted by Brad at Mr Muffler and what can i say except for for pure sex. :yahoo: Being a bolt-on i thought it would be droney and loud. But it just growls and there is no drone at all. Headed straight out to willowbank and reeled off a pb. Everyone down there commented it's the best sounding bolt-on car ever, it even sounds as good as some cammed cars

all i can say, is that i wouldn't batter an eyelid to recommended the system to anyone. :teach: everything bolted up pretty well, especially since its a big system. i left the fancy chrome tips off, need the keep the weight down. now to get it tuned today and see what the power was like.
