Have any of the SA forum sponsors considered running a
dyno day? Most of the other states seem to have them
now and again and I thought It might be a bit of fun
seeing as their is no 400m track here. Quite a few high
powered cars here in SA it seems and some highly respected
speed shops as well. Just a thought.

Only trouble with that would be(imho),wankers would be drawn to it like moths to a flame...and Adelaide has the lion share of wankers.

That may be true, but if you made it a ls1 only dyno day, and advertise on here, im sure that would minimise this factor.
It would be good to have one at Martin's, but as he is always flat out it would be extremely hard for him to fit it into his schedule.
I know KPM had one last year and i believe that went off without a problem.

i heard a story about a dyno day and a certain dirty exec winning it, despite the idiots mocking him.

All the interstate forum sponsors are no doubt flat out also, but they
all seem to manage a dyno day now and again. If you put a fee on
entry, like say $50 for a dyno run and sausage sizzle maybe that
would keep the spankers away.

adelaide member turned up to a dyno day, not sure who it was organised by. he'd been on holidays the week before so the car was filthy as. he's rocked up and people have paid him out and asked why he wanted to dyno it.
he won.
very convincingly.

I've never really seen the point of dyno days and street cruises....
A skid pan day or a circuit meet would be a lot more appealing. :driving:
Standing around a dyno seeeing how got the biggest "number".....

Agreed that skidpan and track days are more appealing. As for the street cruises, its more of a social thing, get to meet fellow enthusiasts and forum members and find out what other people have done to their cars and what they recommend.
