They sure do go dont they. Somewhere in adelaide, there is a Lotus Seven kit car, running a suzuki Hyabusa motor, fully engineered and all, i think there is also a turbo one around. These hybrids sure are tough

As much as they are obviously a weapon on paper (loads of power, light weight). I can't help but feel they are a bit of a pointless exercise:

1. They have a short wheelbase.
2. They have a high centre of gravity.

The lotus 7 is blessed with excellent dynamics, these things look like they're going to roll over standing still. (I keep getting images of one of these going through the Chase at Mt Panorama and clipping the inside ripple strip.....Roll, Roll, Roll, Roll, Roll) ;)

I guess the video of them doing donuts in a car park probably gave the best hint as to their key strength - doing burnouts in a Maccas carpark.

Well exactly... They may be pointless when it comes to racing at Bathurst... but they are A LOT OF FUN by the look of it... and therefore I wouldn't brand it a pointless exercise at all.
