Does anyone know for sure if a VE GTS or Clubby engine cover ( I presume they are the same) will fit a SSV, I realise the engine is the same but not sure if there is any HSV stuff that might not make it fit as I have not seen 1 in the flesh. I just like the look of the GTS 1 better than the Turtle. I dont want a GTS, just the cover, What am I saying of course I would like a GTS just didnt wanna spend another 20k.
Thanks

They are not the same engine... I'd be surprised if an LS2 engine cover will fit the L98.

Why put on such big covers which I assume still trap the heat like the standard turtle. How about http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=70973?

Thanx ignition, I have been quoted $535. Hmmm dunno which way to go. I do like the look of BlownVR split covers also.

Hmmm, the GTS covers do look good - but then if your going to the effort to change the covers you might as well look at getting something to help it breath too... something to ponder!

For memory Gavin (BlownVR) told me the split covers were about $130 for the pair. Then his time and some paint so a lot cheaper option than the HSV heating soaking cover.
One of the split covers requires some slight cutting to clear the hoses at the front...

Each to his own but, frankly, that is a lot of money to pay for a big heat retaining bit of plastic. You could put that cash to great use on exhaust or other decent mods.

Thanks for the comments guys, as much as I like the GTS cover I have decided to get the split ones. Like Vulture said its a lot of $ & I would prefer to spend that on the exhaust & induction.
