Hey everyone. This is JRGRANGE's latest project. These first pictures are to wet your appetite. The car is already in paint, and an engine is being installed as we speak. I will post up more pictures in the coming days. Feel free to share your comments and admire this restoration.
Cheers Mick

What sort of engine combo are we talking here?
Late model EFI retrofit, big block, or classic original?
NA, or FI?
Looks like it's really coming together, and I look forward to more updates.

Chops the engine combo will impress the LS1 boys, its a brand new LS2 purchased from APS Fston, they have installed cam & springs to give her that lumpy idle and the auto is full manual 2 speed glide.

I like seeing modern engines in older cars. Plus the ls2 makes great power without old school angry idle.

Apologies for the quality of the photos, they were taken on disposable camera, I will take some more with the digital as soon as I can. I've been told there are some interesting shots of the engine bay for tomorrow.

Nice car, we had a blue HK genuine Bathurst Monaro, it went quick, but our Phase 3 HO was a stack faster.
Fords rock. Nice one Jay, i want to be the only ford person allowed in it!!

Fantastic car! I love it and the idea behind it. I will watch this thread with interest.
I really want to do a Retrotech style project, either an early Monaro like yours with an LS1 or a XA-XC Falcon Hardtop with Quad Cam Boss motor or injected Ford crate motor. Either option would have candy paint, modern leather interior, big brakes, slammed airbag suspension and 20 and 22" dished rims. I have in my head the style I would do either car down to the little details. However finding a decent rust free base car for a reasonable price is very difficult with the muscle car madness going on at the moment. One day! :p
Evening,
Had a HT350 back in the early days, and sold the thing?????
Great project am following it with interest.
Just a q, but are you aiming to keep it original from the outside, or go for a retro appearance?
Cheers,
Hogs,

any updates?
Jay has been working hard getting all the fuel system sorted and also fitting the wiring loom. He is getting the front rims modified to fit under the gaurds with a guy that works out of his shed in RYE on the mornington peninsula by the name of Harry Whittam. Harry does work for many incuding Wheels for the famous Micheal Schumacer's Shelby
Cobra!
Here is some video i took recently click link for a look.

Yes actually just yesterday it returned from the engineers. Just a few little things to tidy up and its a go. I watched it drive onto a hoist the other night. It has one hell of a cam, thing sounds awesome. A true street Machine.
