wow. seems rather hastily decided that it should be a write off.
Sure the doors look bad, but that's easily replaced.
Although how many airbags are in a statesman? Replacing one is expensive enough.

Maybe covert can give his opinion on whether he thinks it should have been written off

Maybe the fact Vic police buy at considerable discount meant repairs vs buying new is much closer then a private buyer would meet.

Yeh, doesn't suprise me that it was written off. That car will still go for decent money come auction time.

Regarding the grille. I would say that either someone wanted it, or it was pulled off to open the bonnet.

There was another WM Caprice at Fowles Moorebank I saw when I was doing some work there recently that had a decent hit to the front right. I think it went for auction last week.
