3.9 Diff Gears

ok people just got to say I love my new 3.9 gears but I tell you what if you have a bit of a heavy foot and love using the gears as they where meant throw out the window any idea of having good fuel eco.

lol I'm now lucky to get 300kms out of a tank :( the norm is about 250 - 280

its Auto, Mafless, with just the basics zorts twin 2/1 and SS CAI

But if you love that second gear chirp its a must

what did you get outta a tank before the ratio swap?

have you tried driving round normally for a whole tank to see if it really is that bad?

I get around 300 because I have new pipes and 3.9s so I stick the boot into it all the time.
If I drive normally my fuel economy is no different from before with the 3.46s.
I still got 2nd gear chirp with 4 people in the wagon, 19s and stock gears.
Try driving normally, I will one day too lol

wow, i can give it a bit of a flogging and I still manage 400+km out of a full tank, even with 3.9, stall, tune, zorst, tb and otr.

If I'm really good and just cruise, I can push 500km.

Ye its all good just like before comparing these numbers but what are your average speeds?
For me to get 300 I am driving the car in stop start traffic, lights etc and doing really short trips where my average is like 30kmh or so.
Alot of people say CITY driving and its not quite like what the rest of people call city driving.
My car sits on 9.5-10.5 on long distance with a hammering everytime I get to overtake.
I think they are all pretty similar, just the areas and amount of foot we use make them vary.

Bloody hell! I wouldnt complain either.( about the petrol or the power )
