Was staring at the new pride and joy last weekend. Car has two sets of fog lights. When I turned on the fog lights - the larger set was turned on, couldn't work out how the smaller set was activated.
Had to send the car back to the dealer to re-align the front head lights. Was washing the car again yesterday and noticed that when I turn on my front fog lights - the smaller set is activated. The larger fog lights do not turn on.
Is there a switch that alternates between the different fog lights at the front of the car ?

The small ones (fog lights) come on when you pull out the head light switch ... the big ones (driving lights) only & always come on with high beam.

If yours are doing anything different you probably need to get them checked.

In which case they are NOT front fogs. A cursory check of the lamp lens markings should confirm the complianced function. Vehicles are not marketed with two seperate pairs of front fogs, that contravenes 'grouping' of lamps regulations.

"Near the E mark, "02B" for 'front fog' (The letter 'B' is relevant). (Lower front bumper lamps).
For driving lamp, the designation 'HR' (The letter 'R' is relevant). (Inboard lamp sections of headlmap).

Lamps for passenger car (MA, MB, MC ADR categories) are 'mounted and wired' per ADR13. ADR19 for other categories.

Purchase a hazard-warning triangle for your car to improve the ‘warning-time’ given to approaching traffic, at both crash scenes and vehicle breakdowns. Store it in the boot. I suggest Hella Part Number 2901 - $70, or from Auto Accessory Shops, - supplier "Prokit" - Item Number RG9212 - $20. A World/Euro standard device exceeding AS3790 performance requirements. http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/mediaFiles/lic_drivesafebook_part4.pdf
