I'm asking on behalf of a mate who has a VN front end assembly which he'd like to fit to a VL. Will it fit? In particular, the sway bar mounts seems to be very different. Advice from anyone?
Thanks.

I dont really know enough to give you a yes or no answer. I have a feeling that under the skin the VN was very similar to the VL, obviously excluding engine, gearbox etc.

Cheers, Brett

Can it be done? yes
Does it look good? not in my opinion
Personally i dont know why you would wanna change the front of a VL to a VN, maybe put the calais lids on etc but not a VN front, i've seen it done and to me it just looks way too odd.

The VL front needs replacing and the VN front is sitting in the garage. Can you explain why it looks odd?

Sorry, should've been clearer.
I meant the mechanicals as in suspension, steering, brakes, etc...

a lot of the part numbers are the same (from memory struts, springs, bearing plates, disks, calipers, wheel bearings) between VL and VN - it changed when they went to a wider front track in VR. however things like swaybars might be different?

VL and VN had the same front track.
