Hi guys. This has been posted before, however, I've just got off the phone with them and have some good news for any Defence personel. (Sorry everyone else)

They do AGREED Value up to certain limits.

My VZ SS Pano, 2005, $48k Agreed value for $1174 / or no penalty monthly $97.83.

This includes all my mods,
Accessories:
1 7/8" 4 into 1 EXTRACTORS
3" Hi-Flow Catalytic Converters
3 1/2" Single Sports EXHAUST
18" x 8" 3 piece Lightweight Alloy Wheels
Pedders SportsRyder Lowered springs
Pedders SportsRyder Struts and Shock absorbers
RIPSHIFT Short throw Shifter
Xtreme Heavy Duty Cushion button CLUTCH

Compared to my RACV current $1594 ($132 monthly) this is not only saving me $420 a year, but a higher agreed value of $8000 more.

My wifes Magna ( I know.... don't bash me) and house insurance and my car combined is saving us $820 a year all with Defence wealth. It all adds up.

Cheers guys.

Oh, the website is http://www.defencewealth.com.au

Just thought I'd share this with anyone in defence. Unfortunaltely, they don't cover defence civilians, contractors or general public.

I tried Defence Wealth for my Monaro, but they wouldn't insure it because it was a Monaro. I ended up getting a pretty good deal through AAMI though.

Technically, I'd say you are eligible. You have a defence ID, so, that's all.
They don't ask for any confirmation anyway.

Do you get such a good rate in exchange for publishing their advertisements? Although, to be fair, I wish I had known about them when I was serving my pennance for Queen and Country.

I posted this info up a little while ago. I've found them to be very affordable also. I'm paying $970. Down from $1850 with NRMA. It's amazing how many don't know they exist.

Same here...$870 per annum through AAMI, Shannons wanted about $1500, others over $2000 and a couple wouldn't insure a Monaro....

Yeah, that is exactly the same price I was quoted, then I opted to increase my excess to $1000 which reduced my premium to $664.

Thanks man. I couldn't remember who it was who originally posted. That's why at the start I mentioned it had been posted before.

Wonder why they don't insure Munros? So weird this industry! I've never seen personally a crashed Monaro, actually, I've only ever seen or heard about fully sick older models with younger drivers. I guess the companies don't listen to the reports. TOO HARD.

I've just changed my insurance to Ryno Insurance and they seem excellent.
Compared with my previous cover with Suncorp Metway which was was $1548 for $40k cover I now have $50k agreed value including all mods with a premium of $1025 for business use.(rating 1 for life)
Of particular interest is that they also provide cover for track use provided it is a CAMS sanctioned meeting or other approved body.
Only criticism I have is that they are a bit slow getting back to you because they are just flat-out (which I can understand), but they do get back - it just takes a couple of days sometimes.
