Thanks guys ... sent a e mail to one shop. got this back
First of all would recommend to do complete exhaust package, consisting of
long 4 into 1 extractors, 2x stainless steel substrate cat converters, and
dual 2 1/2" exhaust system, this would cost $2200.00 all up inc fitting gst
etc. Secondly I would recommend mafless tune/ otr (over the radiator) intake
package. This would cost $1450.00, both these packages combined will net you
240-250rwkw
what do you guys think

Sorry ;) feeling lazy.....here's a cut & paste from previous post of mine, but you'll get the general idea.....Complete exhuast system needs no more than aprox $1200 outlayed for an unopened 12 second car..or in my case an 11 second car...at this level simply opening cats for and aft will serve you well.. as will the off shelf Paccie Tri-y's and matching Red Back 2.5 twin cat back system..
The money saved can then be spent on some brand new diff gears of choice  ....as you re-search more here with'in the forum the more $$$$ ye shall save.........Best of luck and catch you in the mid 12's :driving:
Paccie Tri-y's ..
See MR Muffler re some high flow cats
3.9 Diff Gears
25% underdrive
918 Valve Springs
78mm Fast
78 TBA Throttle Body
Sump Change.....( VT's have oil woes sixty footing under 1.6 )
Anti Tramps Bushs....ex PT
Increase Stall size
Pair of RE55 Tyres on rear
Return to PT for some *minor* adjustments.......pm me for those
Low to mid 12's...walk in the park

mate if you have about 7000 lying around put a little supercharger on and exhaust and tune and you have an instant 12-12.5 sec car!

if you hang round long enuff most of the goodies can be had on here second hand as the drag hounds chase that extra few kw and swap out perfectly good gear for cheap
im no expert yet but you can run pretty hard with stuff all done to these things i took .6 out of my 1/4 times and picked up 3mph for about 300 bucks and a bit of advise there was more in it too ide say....
do the exaust and tune and you WILL be shocked what kind of car you had all along hiding under that "lets not make hsv power" holden set up
and good luck stoping the mods haha
cheers

Was (quoted) - told to get :
First of all would recommend to do complete exhaust package, consisting
of long 4 into 1 extractors, 2x stainless steel substrate cat converters, and
mandrel bent dual 2 1/2" exhaust system, this would cost $2200.00 all up inc fitting gst etc. Secondly I would recommend mafless tune/ otr (over the radiator) intake package. This would cost $1450.00, both these packages combined will net you 240-250rwkw
Then was told This set up is a maximum performance set up, the only addition that I would recommend would
be the fittement of larger throttle body at an additional $750.00 fitted, that will extract the maximum available power that is achievable from a
standard engine
The whole lot will set me back $4400.00 drive out inc, labour, Gst etc.
What do you guys think

this is how I did my mods
I purchased alot of gear off the forums
twin 2.5 inch system $200 off the forum - fitted myself
pacemaker tri ys $260 off ebay - fitted myself
MCAI - $27 holden - fitted myself
Two hole mod - free - done by me
4 inch gts MAF pipe - $80 off the forum - fitted myself
160f thermostat - $60 off the forum - fitted myself
3.73 lsd - $600 off the forum - fitted myself
Lunati Double Valve springs - $202 off the forum - not fitted yet...
Mafless Tune by Oztrack - $500 done by Ozzie
Total $1929
I ran this without gears. 160f and tune and netted a 14.2 in the VX Calais - I will be running this complete combo at the drags today and I am hoping for a low 13 timeslip
Do it yourself and save some labour costs
cheers chris
