Good chance that the extinguishers on a machine that size operate automatically

ASSASIN
12-04-2007, 09:47 AM
I would say they would be fire supresion units wich will go off automaticaly if there is a fire (or a leak) and spray foam everywere then you can pop a couple of ex and have a foam party doof doof doof doof

i got this email to me awhile ago and there not komatsu

2000hp, 10m X 4m blade to shift 90 cubic meter at a time. The cab shifts one side to the other and skews 180deg. to save the operator's neck - have you ordered one yet? The dozer pic is of a project being designed and constructed to fill old pits in the USA - it's still on the drawing board as is its bigger brother, a 350 tonne version of the 210 tonne one in the pic.

I just checked out one of our drills and it has RED foam fire supresion bottles
The differance is red bottles mean its a preasure activated system

Blue bottle fire supresion systems are activated by loss of preasure
ie pyro tube melted or leaking

:serenade: Well if it means nothing to you then why even waste your time or other people's buy replying with absolutely nothing useful at all. Obviously some people are interested in it otherwise they would not want to know some details. So why don’t you walk back to the community just outside of town and hand your library card back in and stay put were people just sit around all day talking about crap

Your right dude, they are a P head type system and C head type from memory.
Red 'pressure activated' systems use pyro lines which are stainless lines that have a wick inside, when they get hot (from fire!) the 'wick' ignites creating pressure which activates the suppression system

Blue 'pressure loss activated' systems uses plastic tubing lines that melt when flames hit them therefore letting the pressure out thus activating the suppression system. ;)
