Can anyone tell me what sort of longevity and experience you have had with these twin turbo kits from LS1 turbo?. I am thinking of buying one for my VE and am worried about the KKR turbos self destructing. I have heard varying reports and all the race applications i have seen are with Garrett. This kit runs KKR330 turbos with twin internal wastegates.
Any info from experiences people who have bought these kits would be appreciated. Thanks

Martin will handball you to gareth :stick: and they will look after you in all aspects, but I would advise you to get a set of 60lb injectors, Martins Mini Pro and a good tune. even know the pumps in ve's are bigger than vt + i thinks its safer to do it that way :)

longetivity, just ask Littlelord his ute gets a punishing everyday, same for Uteforce.

ive had mine for a good month to 2 but im still finishing it off... (im a coal miner) dont get much spare time....

I think ive only herd of one case of a failed turbo. and thats probly out of about 50 kits+

i'll Let Martin/Gareth point you in the right direction

Thanks for the advice hope to see everyone this weekend

What can i say. A little information is dangerous:) Hope you dont mind my forum requests for advice on the KKR's. There is little info available about longevity on the KKR's. Someone in my ear has given me a few horror stories, (not neccessarily varified i might add in fairness) Alloy particles in the cooler and intake kind of scares me a bit if the internals lunch and mill the housing. I see heaps of Garrett on fast cars but not much KKR:( Turbos are not expensive as such, but the resulting damage can be. What i was after was someone that can vouch for a few years not weeks. Thanks

Tuna, What warranty is offered on the KKR turbos as apposed to the Garetts on your kits? Is it the same?
