VY Senator 300kw C4B... such a thing?

Is there such a thing as a VY Senator Signature with the 300kw GTS engine and a M6??
I was old today that HSV did a very limited run of these, does anyone have any idea if this is true?

There was a very limited-release Senator 300 (with the C4B), but from memory it was a VX, not a VY.

Following its surprise debut at the Melbourne International Motor show, HSV's Senator 300 has already found a host of buyers, despite the fact that official production does not commence until April.

Eager HSV enthusiasts have inundated HSV Retailers to ensure they secure one of only 30 Senator 300s to be built - 26 of which will be sold in Australia, 1 will become the HSV Press car and a further 3 cars are destined for New Zealand.

On the performance front, the Senator 300 boasts a 300 kW Callaway enhanced V8 engine, close ratio 6 speed manual gearbox and the highly acclaimed Multi link rear suspension normally only found on the premium performance VX GTS model. Stopping power is provided by HSV's highly acclaimed anti lock, cross-drilled Premium Brake system.
HSV quote acceleration times of 0-100km/h in just 5.3 seconds and a 400 metre time of only 13.9 seconds.

The Senator 300 also manages to match absolute power with a host of standard luxury appointments. These include a unique combination of twin 8 way power Shale leather seats contrasted with Pewter highlights and woodgrain instrument surround, power windows, cruise control, 10 stack CD system, front passenger and driver airbags, side airbags, traction control and automatic climate controlled air conditioning.

Unique 10 spoke 18" Chrome Shadow alloy wheels complete the picture.
An interesting and useful technical feature is the Rear Proximity sensors. Developed in association with Bosch, the rear bumper mounted sensors are a similar system to those fitted to the Mercedes-Benz S Class models. An audible warning is provided to the driver as he or she reverses toward an unseen object.

HSV National Sales and Marketing Manager, Mark Behr said "the Senator 300 was created in response to requests from our customers. They wanted a car that would provide amazing performance while still retaining the luxury styling cues and features of our premium Senator model".
Production of the Senator 300 will commence at HSV in the months of April and May. Available colours are HSV Racing Green, Phantom Black and Sting Red.

Yeah I was aware of the Senator 300 and SV300 both in the VX model and had never heard of a VY with that combo apart from the GTS. Apparently there is one on its way over here from the eastcoast so I'll be very very interested to see it :)

There is a blown Senator 300 or SV300 in Perth somewhere... I have seen it at a few car shows. Its luxo with ball ripping performance and veeeery limited edition. I remember seeing it just after they were released (it already had the blower fitted) and just thinking it was the bees knees... and I still do.
