Hi Guys,

Noticed the last couple of weeks been getting a bit of rattle in doors when going over really bumpy sections of road. Anyway spoke to Holden dealer over the phone (though the doors may need to be tightened, do they??) and he said oh if you bring it in it might need the door rubbers greased as they get dry. Do door rubbers in fact need to be greased? and I take it it would be the inside of the rubber which touches the car body they would grease, otherwise you risk grease all over you as you can in and out of the car!

Appreciate any advice, just seemed a little wierd to me, but may be totally correct.

I thought the program was "dry grease" (stick type) on window glass/door frame & spray on adheasive (low tack) for the door rubbers????

I usually use some Silicone spray and a rag to lubricate my door and boot seals. Seems to work a treat and wipe off the excess with the rag.

Hope this helps!

Thats a great way to do it as it keeps the rubbers moist & stops them drying out,i have used this method for years.

yeah silicone spray is good and so is rubber care its made by wurth. both work really well and preserves the rubber for a much longer period of time.

Belt grip works a bit too much on the sticky side. Will last longer than silicon spray but too sticky and can become messy if you put too much on.
