Hey Guys,
Ive seen a few threads in the past about cars getting broken into at home, and in garages, wheels and more getting stolen, etc.

Well i was looking through the jaycar catalogue today and spotted this:
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=QV3098&CATID=13&keywords=&SPECIAL=&form=CAT&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=451

Its still costs, but for what it is, its a good price for piece of mind. Could save alot of money in the long run (and if something does happen, your much more likely to catch the bastards)

Im thinking of getting a set for my garage. Just thought Id share my find,

Looks okay. But there is a noticeable lack of specs on the camera's. If they are as small as they look they will struggle in your pitch black garage. I have a slightly bigger camera with more IR LED's in my garage and it struggle's to see more than outline's of cars let alone people's faces.

Good news is you can get around that problem easilly. Put a sensor on the light in your garage so it activates if anyone goes in there, good deterrent plus the camera's will work 10 times better with light than in the dark.

Also check whether that DVR allows live viewing or just recording on an event? Because its nice to be able to live view sometimes.

Best solution is a Rotty or German Shepard locked in the Garage with your car, will tear anyone apart who tries to come in.

Why not install an alarm system in the garage for half the price. I'm sure running out with a baseball bat is more enjoyable then watching the footage the next morning after the incident.
