Why do Holden offer a wider selection of colours on their base model for example, than on their sports models?

Always found that very annoying. Shouldn't it be the other way round?

Perhaps its a marketing way of keeping certain models unique? I can't imagine
20 thousand Hot house green executives getting around LOL.

To me, my car would be more exclusive (ie unique) if there were less of them getting around, ergo more colours to choose from.

My "red hot" ute is hardly exclusive lol.
