Every Toyota Prius tested has failed the USA state of Georgia's emissions test because the vehicle is required to idle its engine during the test. The Toyota Prius shuts off its engine instead of idling, so the automated test instantly fails the hybrid car. This presumably affects any car with an engine stop function at idle

Yeah thats one case of the test needing a major review to keep up with the times. To some extent some Aust Standards are the same - was having an argument with a fellow employee the other day. A lot changes over 10-15 years!!
