Anyone clued up on pricing for the VE R8 and know what sort of deals are around ?? My girlfriend is really giving me the sh!ts so i think it might be time to return the favour and get myself a new car... :teach:
Rang one dealer who offered a demo R8 in red, manual with less than 5,000kms on it for 62k. I'm curious what others have paid...
And yes, i did a search... :)

Grrrrr, i did a search too... Thanks korrupt !!
BTW - i started yesterday looking at a dealers for a new SS-V in red, manual, sunroof and 20's - they wanted 31k changeover. That's what made me think an R8 might be the go.
Between my first post and now they rang back and i told them i could get a very low km demo R8 for 62k, and was offered the same trade in on the VZ (31k) - all of a sudden the changeover has dropped to 26k.
5k savings for 2 phone calls... Not bad !! :deal:

I've had mine for 4 weeks. Love it!, paid 64K, leather (after market), manual for 2006 model drive away. Wasn't a demo - had 125 km's on the clock.

City Holden are advertising two 06-plate R8 manua demos for $59.9K.
The prices above are similar to what I paid, adjusted for options.
For my money - bear in mind I came from an Audi - the R8 floated my boat and was great value, whereas the SS-V was really just a taxi with a big engine and annoying guages (hehe). It's the little things, as well as the wheels, brakes and suspension - that differentiate the HSV from the cooking models. It's around $9K extra but you can see where it goes.

If anyone wants a manual '06 plated R8 Clubsport in Ignition i know where there is one that will sell for $59,990. Not a demo, sitting on the showroom floor as we speak.
Out of respect for the fella i am dealing with i won't name the place, but drop me a PM if anyone is interested. I asked for either Evoke or Red '07 - and best price at this stage is 67k but i get the feeling i can probably get that down to about 65k driveaway...

Paul...

I am from Ringwood and bought my R8 Clubby Manual with leather from Ralph D'Silva Holden. They did me a better deal than anyone else and i tried 6 dealerships. Not only was the price great, but without even asking they gave me a few extras and treated me like a normal human. The car was immaculate when i picked it up and they have followed me up to make sure i am happy. Nearly every other yard i went to the salesmen were smart arses with bad attitude. I cannot reccommend these guys highly enough. Talk to Jason D'Silva and he will look after you.

Birdman - what $$$$$$.
My manual VY II R8 with full leather, sunroof and tint cost me $62,000.00 (or was it $62,500.00?) on the road shortly prior to VZ release. When I can get close to that sort of value in a VE I will upgrade. Might have to look out for a demo next time round.

Even if he wanted a VZ (very few people would after seeing and driving the VE) that's a crap price, even if it's an R8. Just after VE's release Clubbies were selling for 50K - getting on for the best part of a year later now and it's last year's model and build. Plus Fusion is not a popular colour - hard to move.

We will be picking ours up on Tues Am.
Its a 06 plated R8 A6 in Fusion. Has done 7500klms.
It was owned by HSV themselves. So i have to have a look
at the build number. It might be a early one...
And from what i was told at the dealer ( true or not )
That this is the only used E series R8 around at this time.
Payed $59,900 with 12 months rego.
& got $28,000 trade in on a VZ SV8 A4 with black leather
thats has done 14500 klms...
Cheers Pete

Even allowing for the fact that as it's on lease I assume that price doesn't include GST, it's still good! Realistically it's closer to 63K including GST, just that the GST is added to your payments and not up front. You have to compare apples to apples........

At a touch over $57K GST cannot have been included. Still if price inclusive of GST was around $63K as suggested by Wonky that is a great price. Can you find out the what the full on road GST inclusive cost was? Which dealer (I do not care which State my car comes from if the price is right and I will soon be in the market as my R8 lease is up in August)?
