Maybe someone who is in or has been in the industry might be able to shed some light on the matter.

Basically how much mark-up/profit margin(In general) do places like rocket industries/ Eagle Auto etc have on their crate engines? Pretty much a general interest question. I know they wouldn't have heaps on those 350chev long engines on the back of street machine for $2880.

what about their engines for 15k tho? what u reakon about $2000 markup on cost?

Cheers,

the ls2 crate motors which can retail for $10k have a huge margin i'd say going by my pricing research and experience when buying one for the boat.

Do you have a reason for wanting to know this?
Sounds a bit like you want to take this general question and use it as a form of bargaining power.
If so, shopping around is the best way to hunt discounts. Telling a business you know their margin is a great way to get booted out the door, never to return....
