User Name Change

I need a name change as i have left the Ford brigade in everyway. Can i do this or does a mod have to do the job, i realise my post count is low but have been on here to many years to just re register. Hoping to change from XR8SAM to SM196

an idea for the mods.

on another forum there is a sticky called User Name Change and ppl that want there user name changed post then the mods do it and reply.

its a great and simple way of doing it...but you guys are the bosses so whatever goes...just a suggestion :thumbsup:

A good idea, however we have to make it a least a little challenging.;)
We try and limit it to one change only, otherwise people would be changing names every week.

Maybe a request form could be made somewhere on the forum?

The user could (if logged in) type their requested username, and the mods just have to either accept or deny it. It would help the mods in the way that they don't have to go to the admin panel every time they had to change a name (or were asked), and the member wouldn't have to go through the process of PM'ing.

The script could limit each user to 1 name change per year or something of the likes..

Just an idea. :)

Why create a form when the "contact us" form does virtually the same thing. Don't worry we have process in place to keep track of things, we're not new to this :rolleyes:
