Hi fastestls2,
When the VE was released, GMH said that the body was easily the stiffest one produced by them and rivalled any overseas car for torsion resistance. If it needed one, Holden would have fitted it. Save your money, it doesn't need a strut brace. Buy a radiator plastic cover instead ...07 models missed out.

Has anyone got pics of the difference between cover and no cover? I had no idea that 07 models missed out on the cover.

Cheers,

Tim.

You can see later in the second thread that they have come up with a cover from where the standard airbox leaves a huge gap....

I ordered a radiator shroud when i ordered my car (from the parts department) - it's like $20 or something, but definately worth it as it finishes it off...

Cool, thanks for that. Will have to order one at the same time I order the extra headphone for the dvd player. Finishes the engine bay off I think.
I wonder why they stopped putting them on, could it be just to save a few bucks?

Cheers,

Tim.

No worries. They stopped then i would assume for (a) weight and (b) cost saving, though it's not that much weight saved..

You need 3 headphones for the DVD? It comes with 2 wireless ones I am told...

The dvd player comes standard with 2 wireless headphones but sometimes we have friends kids travelling with us so a third headphone is neccesary to keep the peace!
