Interesting indeed. I suppose we should wait for our inside holden man to confirm this.

By the looks of it, the car has "side-repeater' lamps, NOT part of US FMVSS108 lighting requirements, so its NOT for the yank market.

It is therefore a car designed for the rest of the world team.

Purchase a hazard-warning triangle for your car to improve the ‘warning-time’ given to approaching traffic, at both crash scenes and vehicle breakdowns. Store it in the boot. I suggest Hella Part Number 2901 - $70, or from Auto Accessory Shops, - supplier "Prokit" - Item Number RG9212 - $20. A World/Euro standard triangle device exceeding AS3790 triangle performance requirements. http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/mediaFiles/lic_drivesafebook_part4.pdf

Are side repeaters a necessity for a car to be roadworthy?

If it was being tested in AUS wouldnt it need the side repeaters to be roadworthy?? or are test mules exempt from this kind of thing?

Could just have them so they can test the mule out in AUS? So it could still be for the US market....

sorry just guessing here got no idea really.

Isnt it just testing the driveline and underpinnings. If thats the case the outside doesnt really matter - being a chopped up mule. Blinkers would prob have to stay if it was being used in Australia.

That and the fact that it is more than likely a test mule for the Comaro not a 2 door Commodore Coupe.
