Folks, hope someone can point me in the right direction. After doing the rounds of Carpoint / Carsales looking for my next ride, I have found that very few of the car dealers are listing who / where they are. To find out who / where they are to go and look at the car, you have to do one of those inquiry things which means putting in your phone number which in turn means being bombarded by phone calls at odd hours of the day and night.

But....they all list their LMCT (Licensed Motor Car Trader) numbers. However for Queensland dealers, I am at a loss of where to locate a list / search function to find out who they are.

Anyone in the industry or in the know have any idea where to access this info on the interporn?

I have had the same issue, I have found that if you bring up Google and type in LMCT then a space then the number and search Australia most times it brings up a web site where they have either had a car for sale under their name or lists their actual web page so you can at least see who they are. Works most times but not always.

The other way that works is do the enquiry thingo but instead of you phone number just put in 0000 0000 then send you do get a reply listing where the car is via email,
but might also get a few emails from the dealer saying you have not given us a current phone number.
