Hey guys, i'm looking at rims from the US for my VT.

They come in 20"x8.5" and 22"x9.5".

The 20's will fit I know but would the 22's seeing as though they are the extra inch wider than general commodore applications?

Also, being rims from the US, is it likely the 5 studs will fit straight on?

And finally, has anyone had any experience ordering rims from the US, postage costs to Victoria, etc.

Cheers,

-Tim

I would be wary incase they cant be adjusted to fit because it will cost u a mint to send back.
Cant u get a dealer here to order them, then warranty is in OZ, in the end I wouldnt expect much price difference because of the postage and tax.
I had car parts sent thru but they were repacked by a mate and the value wasnt written on there, just $50 and birthday gift.
What sorta wheels are they?

You'll need some coilovers just for the 20's and don't forget to roll your guards, and as BLACKWAGON said, your better of getting them from an aussie company like talebtyres.com.au or tempetyres.com.au just for the fact you get aussie warranty :deal: good luck!

22's would look great on the ute - but it's not as simple as it seems ie;
- Coilovers probably reqired
- Rolled guards
- Tyres are $$$$$$
- Then your brake rotors look small & silly - so upgrade $$$
Then at the end of the day you also need to keep your insurance company happy re modifications...

Its a VT...therefore not a ute!

nieo (or something like that) has 22s on his VT GTS, and cost a small fortune just to fit them, 20s are plenty big enough for a VT, and wont cost you nearly as much to fit, if you're that worried about width find some 20x9.5s, although I dunno how you'll go fitting them up front, but you really shouldnt need that wide up the front either, maybe look at a staggered set, 20x8.5 up front, 20x9.5 rear...a lot cheaper and would probably look better too.

Stick with the 20"...you may even have a little bit of trouble with them as i did. They fit, but little scrubbing could happen, just depends. Rolling gaurds, coil overs and possibly cutting the inner lip of the gaurd. 22's might be pushing it just a tad.

Are you going to run 8.5, or 9.5 or??? and the tyres 245/34? 265/45??
