Just wondering guys as i am searching for a set of brakes to finish off my VU SS GenTT ute, if these are the same..
Do Corvette and Holden GM parts share the same hub etc etc for brakes to fit straight on or do they need adaptor brackets etc..
I have found a few nice sets of brakes C5 C6 brakes as well as Brembos on US sites that are a good price and wondering if they would fit out make of cars.
Thanks people

the C5 works fine but the rotors are a different offset so requires different mounting brakets. This is why you rarely see Brembo's on commodores plus they need to be engineered. The C5 caliper is a direct bolt on as they used these as the HSV performance brakes and have ADR's

Don't forget to keep in mind the cost of import duties if you bring in goods over $1000AUD.
There was a thread recently that mentioned something about it. (off the top of my head i think it was about 30% of item value)

Baer products have a great reputation.
As for import duties.....get them to mark them as Suburban brakes. NO import duties on 4x4 parts!
Infact, I've never paid import duties on anything from the states for my Suburban...even though not directly listed as for it.
Whipple SC...USD$1500
Marine Vortec Manifold USD$1200

If you look at the offset of the Holden rotors in voodoo's photo, and the offset of the cross drilled package, you'll get a fair idea of why they wont easily fit....
Just get a set of the Harrop performer/HSV or the AP HSV's 4 pistons. They fit straight on, and you can find them around brand new for under $3500 for a full set.
Checkout Holmart, they are selling discounted HSV AP packages for just over $3000AU, these will be a direct bolt on and probably a lot cheaper in the long run.

They are 3 different brake set ups on the C6's, std, z51 and ZO6 all the calipers are made by PBR. I have a set of the Z51 crossed drilled rotors and calipers from a 2005 C6 Corvette in my garage. The rotor offset is wrong for VE and most VT to VZ's the closest they will fit is AWD VY and VZ's. Check out the DBA site as it has all the dimension of the rotors.
