hey people unfortunately the original h4 bulbs on my SS blew, so on the weekend i went and bought philips diamond vision bulbs, while driving at night i noticed the beam to be of crisp whitish blue with improved light spread however projected distance seemed to decrease, can that be solve by adjusting the headlight?

See http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=34619 and do Seldo's conversion - makes a noticeable difference, or even better put Xenon HIDs in. See http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=53616 - I had HIDs in my VZ SS and they were great so they absolutely had to go in the SSV. Gerald was having a sale when I got mine so only $175 for the whole kit. Not sure if the special is still running or not.

The HID kits can be fitted to normal headlights. Had them in my old VS.

Yeah, they can be but reflector technology isn't as precise as projector technology apparently so you stand more chance of blinding someone coming toward you.
