Im trying out a few new things on the ute. Gonna see if this flows better than the GenPD. Still gotta plumb the water injection in and put a connection to the blower throttle and weld up the dump pipe from the blower to the headers (bit smokey over the windscreen as it is now)

(to the guy who PM'd me about if I really had a leaf blower on the ute. Yep buddy, just gotta workout the tuning now.....)

Interesting concept. I'd like to see how it compares to it's rivals on the market. I've heard very promising things on this topic - many tuners from well respected companies are into this now.

I've seen a few projects from many countries renowned for their great ideas in the world of modified cars, such as Rwanda, The Island Of Hispaniola and most importantly - Eritrea (just north of Ethiopia); using this as a great way to improve horsepower on a low budget.

I'll be up for a kit if you plan to produce this in a limited amount. Anyone up for a group buy?

Brilliant Jez, a true pioneer!!!

There will be MAF and MAFless (shown here) kits available Tone. Wanna cover the whole market. See you can add one of these on and there is no cutting and can be returned back to stock by a simple turn of one single ring clamp and removing the jockey strap that holds the bonnet down. No need for oil lines, the 2 stroke does the job.

I see it's a Mark II version, was the first model just not up to spec performance wise?

I also hear Tuna has an "R" version in development...

So what happens when the blower vac runs out of 2stroke!! How much boost do you get? Can you upgrade to a 10hp blower & run crazy psi dude?

OUTAtheBloo
07-05-2007, 10:22 PM
Maybe you could try a smaller twin blower set up, to reduce bottom end lag

Good question Dan. Yes we are looking at a smaller twin combi in the near future

When the blower/vac runs out of 2stroke it wont harm your engine, just become a bit rich until you can pop into the servo for a top up.
10hp blowers are on the horizon! (maybe with a little NOS in em for overtaking on the freeway using our SuperBoost technology) keep you posted

We originally started with electric versions but it took 16 x 25m bunnings extension leads to run the 1/4 miile and they would unplug crossing the line

ROFL ... This is funny stuff ...

It might get a bit difficult holding a leaf blower and a NOS bottle outside the bonnet while the car is running ...

good on you jez i know it takes a lot of work, testing and money behind the scenes to get a kit ready. I think you have the big guns looking over their shoulders. :teach:
only problem is i was hoping to become partners. :toetap:

Problem is, I think it would take the exhaust gasses from 3 LS1's to Make boost!

i think you would be better off going with a power inverter plugged into the cigarette lighter and running a power cable out the door and into the engine bay. It would also solve the problem of switching on the boost.

I might have to try it on the vk. do i need a boost referenced carby.

Gee imagine the efficiency loses ... you use the belt to generate power through the alternator which inturn gets inverted to run a leaf blower that pumps air into the intake when you could have just run a supercharger from the belt in the first place. :D

When your turbo's bigger than your motor you know it's time to seek help plus I think you would have a hard time getting it away from that guy. He looks like a man that is truely in love. :werd:
