Can someone help me out. I"ve put Maxis Tyres 235/45/17on my Vy about 10,000 klms ago but l get noise comming from the front tyres only when l'm turning left , right or braking . During normal driving l dont get any noise. lt wasnt there while l had Bridgestones on but its getting worse now .l thought it might be wheel bearings under load because when l jack up the car and spin the wheels there isnt any noise. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks:hmmm:

IMO if the only thing thats been changed is the tires, that should be your first port of call so to speak. Tried swapping wheels front to rear?
Failing that have you got someone whos wheels you can borrow and try out?
just my 2c

Bearings will make noise around corners as you load them up. If they do it under braking as well, it's unlikely to be bearings.

rotate your tyres , cost's nothing then go from there.

braking loads the bearings too.
probably the tyres...
i've replaced my bearings before and still had that noise like yours. some tyres seem to just get that after 5-10,000 K, they must flaten off or something, directional tyres are noisy anyway...
bearings have to be tested with a dial indicator for play.

braking loads the bearings too.
True, but the wheels need to be almost falling off the car before you would get noise under braking.
Cornering loads are what seriously test slightly worn wheel bearings....

Thanks everyone.......l'll rotate the tyres first ,then if that doesnt fix it l may be able to swap some tyres .

I have the exact same noise has been there for 4 + years and 3 sets of tyres .
Changed the pads still there ,then the wheel bearings still there ,changed the rotor's DBA'S still there ,put on new tyres noise still there ,tyres needed replacing ,this about 12 months ago ,put Kumho's on noise went away ,oh then it came back about 2 days later ,so i still have the noise exactly as you describe it .
Don't care to worry anymore the car is in one piece if some thing breaks falls of or explodes well ,then i will look into it.
Otherwise i shall drive it like i stole it .(Not all the time )

By another set of Bridgestones. That's the reason why I kept OEM Bridgestones on my VY; I knew they were a good tyre from experience. I could have bought a cheaper set, but didn't know what I was in for ...
