mate there are hundreds of threads that will answer your questions:search:
it all depends on how deep your pockets are and what you want as an end result
here are a few to get you started
MCAI 2 hole mod or OTR
mafless tune
ported TB or after market one
headers 4 into 1 or try y's
opened up cat or high flow cats
3.5" single or dual 2.5" zorst or 3" dual if you are planing H/C
222/224 is a commonly used cam
do a search on any of these there is many hours of reading

I know its a great feeling to do all the little mods along the way to see what each of them do.

But if i had my time over again, id go a nice forced induction package, something thats upgradeable. I went the usual bolt ons and then did a cam only as the last thing. Ive added up all the costs, and stoped at 15k, and decided to stop

Next time ill go straight to the good stuff, with a mod plate, so everythings legal and no worring about mr plod, or having insurance refused, if something goes wrong.

Good luck, its great fun

if i was doing it again,

build the engine forged again. cand do the head and cam route again and of course at some forced induction to it.
