It's got nothing to do with the mods, it is more than likely a server issue.

My original thoughts was that it were similar to opening the flood gates, after being down for maintenance as soon as it's opened many have flocked back in, ultimately slowing the server due to load.

Either way, the moderators didn't do anything that I'm aware of so don't point the finger at them.

The server is beign relocated to a new host, and it could of been put offline till its all over to the new host, except they put it online at limited bandwith speed so you all can use it still. Have some patience and respect for those who work on the server for nothing to keep you all happy !!! :soap: :soap:

The earlier maintenance downtime should have been a good indication that the site is going through a maintenance period atm. Has to be done so I'm sure everyone will be patient :doh: and not make 100 replies in this thread all saying the same thing.
Those that are saying how crap it is, and how pissed off they are, feel free to bugger off elsewhere. I'll even put your account on "hold" if you like so we don't piss you off with our maintenance periods anymore. Sorry we couldn't deliver you ultra fast service for all the money you pay .... :rolleyes: (Questions are fine, whinging is stupid)

With a crappy attitude like that I can tell you wont be missed.

The server is in a relocation process and this takes time, hence it being very slow, if you can handle it for a few hours, go read a book, as for pointing fingers at mods etc for a slow down, hahahahahahahaha

Yes the forums are undergoing some work. We are transitioning to a new server and this involves some transition pain. If it is very slow for you then your DNS has not yet updated I did drop the DNS expiries to 10mins so things should settle in a couple of hours .. 24 at the worst.

I could have just shut the old server down and those whos DNS/ISP's didn't update properly (out of my hands) would have no access. :) Rather we had a 40odd min down time where I backed up the DB and transferred it to the new server and then got everything back up asap for the users ... maybe I shouldn't have bothered with some of these comments :vpo:

It ain't easy .. either .. I've had a lot on my plate recently with my brother losing 1/4 of his tongue to cancer and some low life/s stealing my car last weekend. :vpo::vpo::vpo: But what can you do :( At least I have my health.

You can try rebooting your computer or typing "ipconfig /flushdns" in a cmd window. If this does not work your ISP is caching the wrong IP and caching it for too long. You will just have to wait in that case.

I tried logging in yesterday afternoon while the relocation was going on, and at first I was :hmmm: but then I remembered the sticky about having to find a new host and assumed that the time had come...

Tried again just before leaving work to see if everything was OK - took close on 5 minutes to load, so I shut down, called it a day and checked in this morning - all excellent, and just as fast as normal...

So, to those involved in the admin side of this site: :thumbsup: and "thanks for a great site"...
