no its not adjustable AFAIK..
Any chance of some pics for us to have a look at?
This is the first one i've heard about being too far forward., Something isn't right if its hitting the cd player.
Does it hit in 3rd and 5th as well?

lol
Sorry to take this off track a little but does anyone have the same problem as me.. I find sometimes when I am driving rather spiritedly:jester: that when changing into first I sometimes hit the radio with my fingers. I usually push from behind the gear knob as I dont have a ripshift and find it always seems to go in when pushing from the side and not above..
Rather annoying... wooooooooooooooooot 2nd wooooooooooooooot 3rd wooo.... wtf where did ACDC go? stupid scan button!!! :lmao:

Hi champ
I had the same problem at some point when i had changed my shifter to HRT8 Special, Turned out i attached the top half of the shifter to the wrong side of the bottom half of the shifter. Was smacking the stereo hard on fast changes :)
take the boot & knob off & have look to see if thats what your issue is.

But anyways, so everyone knows which way it should be on...

hey
ok i pulled the gear knob off after a slight struggle, and this is the pic that i took, from what i can gather the gear knob has been put on the wrong side of the stick, It should be on the drivers side of the stick shouldn't it.
