Just watched today tonight or what ever it is and couldn't belive the media beat up about the AC Nielsen report that got leaked. I have just completed that survey, it is the one they send you after new car purchase. The article on the telly admitted that the faults were uncategorised so any fault from a blown globe to failed gearbox were all lumped together. Wasn't even scaled against numbers sold versus faults. Surprise surprise local manufacturers come up worst and our japenese friends came out the best. (Wonder if GWN is owned by an asian consortium?)
No mention of the new Coroller steering column falling out to meet you when you drive off from the dealer!!!!!!!!, obviously that would of involved some journalistic balance. Why do the media insist on running our local makers down at every opportunity without offering any opportunity to the Holden/Ford management for comment.
Nissan Tiida came up as one of the best? I haven't even seen one on the road?
Had my SSV since Feb and haven't had any dramas. Still loving it every time i drive it anywhere.
While I'm having a whinge our SSV got 9.8l/100km on a trip to Karratha the other and friends followed us in their 06 Camry which got 10.1l/100km. Averaging about 110/120kms/h. I know for that difference in fuel economy i won't be giving up my V8 any time soon!
Long live big aussie sedans.:)

I have to agree, the Holden V8 is surprisingly fuel efficient on highway and country driving.

Makes the Camry's down right gas guzzlers in comparison.

Yeh I couldn't believe how much better my VE SS is on fuel over my VY SS 5.7L. I'm getting about 100klms on average per tank more. :)

ill say it again. Today Tonight and ACA should be black banned! They are the most monumental waste of space on TV that I have ever seen and anyone that watches these programmes and takes anything they see on them seriously is a dumb ass!

Only my 2c though.:jester:
