I am no way connected to this guy in any way, just giving the info and my personal experience I had after other members asked me where I got my wheels powder coated.

$60 a wheel from Craig at

www.colorurmags.com.au (http://www.colorurmags.com.au)

top powder coater with the BEST range of colours, he actually supplies the powder coating chip swatches for dulux! he has a huge range of metallic finishes not the crap solid colours like other places

you have to supply your wheels to Craig totally stripped, so basically your car will sit in your own garage on blocks until you get the wheels back, and it takes about 1 week to powder coat.

It really is kind of a pain in the asss...

1. remove wheels yourself, put car on blocks
2. take rims to tyre place get them stripped of tyres/valves
3. take them to Craig
4. Pick up wheels 1 week later
5. Take them back to tyre place get tyres refitted
6. take them home and put them back on your car!

soooooo much easier if you have a spare set of wheels or even can borrow a set for a week!

Here are some pics of my old STI I traded in on the VE :)

yes, fixed now and they look great.
i think black rims only work in front of big brakes as you tend to look thru the rims more. the sti looks good, as would r8's and gts' etc but i dunno how t would look for instance on stock vx ss rims with stock stoppers

thanks Nick I sorted it out as well ;)

I was going to get the wheels on the VE-SS powder coated black, but only if I got a black one :)

But I went for Nickel and love the silver over silver with dakr tint :)

Good point about the brakes! the bloody VE-SS are friggen tiny!!

Can you powder coat the spokes on your rims but leave the outer rim silver ?? is this possible with powder coating or does the whole rim have to be done entirely.

nah this guy had some sets there that he had masked up so I would say it would be fine, just give him a call, I know a guy from Brisbane even shipped his wheels to Melb because the price of $60 per wheel was so damn cheap! lol
