yeah just as a matter of future reference for people.fitted a gts pipe to my car today & needed a grommet for the iat sensor hole.i found that the grommet used in the standard airbox, the one in the bottom, fits perfectly & is readily available from holden without any "hsv only" dramas.
cheers

Holden tell us to sell that airbox grommet for that sensor, so there are no "hsv only" dramas!

I'm sure people appreciate your efforts, but the Holden part number is in the parts thread.
No need to take it personally.

Howd you go putting the sensor in the intake pipe? I tried to squeeze it through the grommet but farked if i could get it in. Ended up leaving it in the airbox.

BLU50L,while trying to make it fit in something else i did slightly grind down the first couple of ribs on the sensor so that probably helped a bit.

i do take it personally when people make comments that arent necessary & try to belittle other peoples efforts.what you had to say was not necessary, all you were doing is trying to big note yourself.dont take that personnally, just my opinion.

Slight amount of silicon spray lube and it slips right in , if your was originally in the airbox then it is the earlier sensor and not the right one to use in the intake pipe.

Don't forget that you are the one that proclaimed to the world that this would avoid "hsv only" dramas.
Do your homework next time, or don't post up!
If you want to get all prickly and keep this going down insult land, well, whatever.....I'm over it.

So is there any noticable benefit by moving the iat to the intake pipe from the airbox. I have to buy the VY iat right? At around $60 is it really woth the expense?
