Hey everyone,

Im not really on the lookout for a car, although this has come up and I just want to find out if its a ok price.

VYII Executive
75000kms
Serviced by the books

Car is clean and has no major dings (just minor shopping ones).

Ive been given the chance to buy it for around $11.5k. Is this an ok price, or just average due to the VE's etc.

YEp, seems like a good price.. in qld we are normally trading these for around 10 to 14 dependant on k's... sounds like a pretty good deal.

I dont particularly want it because its a auto. Manual and I'd be all over it

Absolutely, as long as it has no work needed for safety certificate then you should eb able to make around five grand on it to sell it privately...:bravo:

I think $5k would be aiming a bit high dont you think? VYII execs are dime a dozen and not in short supply so I would think I'd only get a max of say 14 - 15k for it

We are selling them to people for ,on averge, 15990 and upwards.. 15990 for one done around 130k.... With your kms you should make a good chunk..

2003 or 2004? Judging by what I just saw of Red Book prices on carsales.com.au and given they aren't easy to sell at the moment I think you'll probably make a bit on it but not necessarily a lot and it may take a while to get your money back. For example, it gives ave private price as $11,500 - $14,200 on a 2003 VYII auto Exec (75,000 - 95,000km), a bit more for 2004.

Its just a 6, silver in colour and is a 2004 model.
Its probably going to be a pain buying and selling it, taking into account transfer fees, etc etc.

Whats a manual conversion worth :)
