Hi there,
Would love to lower the new GTS i have just purchased but concerned about the potential effects that it may have on the MRC performance.
Has anyone here lowered their GTS and if so is there any difference to the MRC?
Appreciate anyones thoughts about whether they would risk MRC or not. Cheers.

Talk to EIBACH Springs. They are in Warriewood?
Im sure Robert has developed a spring that is suitable.

Thanks R Dirty 3....
Spoke to Eibach today and there is a suspension package being developed for the GTS. They expect to have it in a month or so. I will probably wait and see the take up first before being the first ginny pig. :)

Not a bad idea. :)

I think Robert already has the kit in a car at the moemnt testing it out, making sure it doesnt interfere with MRC etc. I am based in Perth but have dealt with Robert at Eibach for many years. He certainly wont lead you astray, and he certainly wont release the kit until he is certain that it is perfectly fine for the car. I believe he developed the setup with approval and assitance of HSV. I also believe that that particular model has Eibach made springs in them from factory. :) (or so i believe)
Hope that info helps you just a little bit more. Good luck with your car, would love to see some pictures when you have finished it :)
Cheers

thanks mate...that really makes me feel more at ease now. I pick up the car early this week and will give it a chance with the standard setup first. If i get too irratated by the gap from the trye to wheel arch then i will go to the eibach set. Nice to know they have developed with HSV though. It only needs another 20-30mm of lowering so hopefully it is just the springs that i am after.

Great work guys, look forward to your feedback and findings on this test.
I to have been doing some research on this one, something of interest is that Walkinshaw Performance have withdrawn lfrom lowering the MRC cars as the springs they were using were destroyed with metal fatigue and dropping even further than they should have.
I pick mine up on Thursday  so lets get a move on guys !

Try walkinshaw performance, i'm lead to believe that they are doing kits atm,
and hear that it doesn't affect warrenty either.

Conflicting statements. Does anyone know which is true?

Yes I do !
That first statement is definately not correct!
We have not had any springs (destroyed with metal fatigue ).. We are continuing testing sets at the moment and as soon as I can get some that will maintain a reasonable ride height we will be able to satisfy all the customers that are desperate for a set of MRC compatible springs.
