Hi all,
Have recently got new vz ute, 6000km on clock now and I have a couple of questions for those in the know;
1. Have been getting axle tramp of late (since 5000km) with light tyre slippage. Is this normal?
Vehicle is lowered but has been since 20km old
Tyre pressures are the same

2. LSD operation - LH wheel spins with ease. e.g. leaving service station at an angle through spoon drain, in fact, any incline attacked at angle. Have been to dealer, they say within torque rating.
Previous vx sedan never even looked like spinning at same conditions and that was an open wheeler.

Any thoughts appreciated.

as far as the axle tramp goes i've never had that problem, however i did have light tyre slippage. Although in my case that went away after i lowered the car.

As far as the diff goes, i've only had occurance where only one wheel spun and that was because i was in a ditch. If possible get a second dealership to check it out, as some are quite stingy with warranty claims on diffs.

Good luck mate

what springs / shocks r u using?

Axle tramp is fairly common in mine. I wouldn't have thought it was that surprising considering the lack of weight in the rear. Worst in the wet of course. :)

Thanks guy's
Obviously I need to improve search skills as I did try but missed that one.

Once again thanks.

Now just need to sort diff out.

Last night I left servo in sedan - no wheel spin (no traction control light on), this morning, left same servo in ute, LH wheel spin.
Conditions about the same.
Even taking into account that they are totally different vehicle, sedan auto open wheeler, ute manual LSD, I wouldn"t expect the ute to spin so easy.
Am I expecting too much from the diff assy?
