Hi there
new to the informative & highly enjoyable LS1 forum. Just wanted to hear of your experiences of Mail order PCM mafless tune using the services of Chipmaster or Power Torque (located in Brissie where I am) - both are the same price - so hoping to understand if there is a definite advantage of using one over the other. No disrespect intended to either - just wanted to be confident of making the right decision.
thanks

Mate if you are in Brisbane anyway why not pop into Power Torque and speak to Mark about getting a specific tune done to your vehicle. I have not experienced either tuners mail order tunes but have had Mark tune my VY and now my VE.
They are both well respected on this forum however it would make sense to me to get your work done locally in case something needs touching up.
Go and see Mark and have a yak. He will look after you

Very true Tone I used Dan as I see him as a top shelf WA tuner and he is local so any touch ups are easy and little mods can be made to the car if needed.

Thanks for the swift replies with your open experiences - so far it appears both Dan & Mark do fantastic work & are even in exceeding their customers expectations - no mention of whether one achieves better performance over the other which is very encouraging. Appreciate the fact both Tone & Davyss made in how location is important for touch ups etc.
I've had a search through the forum for specific instructions / step by step pix on how to install GTS mafpipe with mafless boot, K&N filter & CAI with the second hole & cut mcai to my VY Clubby 4A. Can anyone point me in the right direction or link. How easy is it to do??? 30mins > 3 hours ???
Cheers

No more than an hour job do a search and you should dig up everthing you need mate.
Im closing this thread before it turns in another tuner wars thread. Both sponsors are offering the same product, and the best way to decide which is the best is to speak to both sponsors (over the phone or in person, not via PM) and choose from their. If your still not sure from there, spend some time looking at the feedback each has in their forums. A thread like this isnt going to give you the answer you looking for, as most people will be biased (unintentionally) towards the person they got the tune from.
