vy steering wheel lights

hi guys, did a search but only found an answer for the vz model. should the stereo controls on the steering wheel light up with the instrument lights on in a vy ss series 1, or was that only for the luxury models

They don't light up on my ute (S1 S Pack)

They started on VY2 on some models.
VY2 SS (sedans anyway) should all light up. VY1 SS sedan wont.

I have 2004 VY II SS sedan and they light up in mine.

The vyss 1 didn't light up but if you buy the vyss 2 steering wheel radio controls you can get them to light up but you have to connect another wire through the clock spring to get them to work. I did mine on my old vyss 1 but it was a bit of mucking around & you need to know what your doing.

Common problem with the steering wheel controls. Just use one of the stereo facia controls and it will reset the steering wheel controls.

Hi Just wondering if anybody knows if you can put Leds in the controls on a vx to get them to light up or do you have to buy the vy2 controls.
