So who is going to be watching Casey kick some butt in Italy tonight!!? Chris Vermeulen second on grid and Casey on pole..

Im also amazed at the small amount of media coverage in Australia about Casey.. Very dissapointing. He has is already more successful than Mick Doohan and Wayne Gardner at this stage of his career..

Yes mate, I was saying the very same thing to my wife - not that she gave a rat's. Bloody sport on TV is footy, cricket, more footy, some golf, more footy (including every time some knob strains their groin or chats up some bird when pissed etc and this stuff comes before the news of Casey's win) but virtually nothing on MotoGP - which is a true international competition with the world's best.

Lets wait till he wins a championship or two before comparing him to some of the legends.Doing a very well at the moment though.

I was surprised to see the Sunday Times give Casy a big wrap on the inside page of the sports section today, even before the AFL coverage :1peek:

And yeah aussies one two in italy

Yeah I will be watching. Isn't it great to have a couple of Aussies that both have a realistic chance of winning to cheer on. A 1,2 would be fantastic.

Casey is a dead set legend.

Oh, and his missus is hot too. She's a local girl here in A-Town, went to the same school as my missus. Got a few stories about her :)

Sure but he is showing signs of being a great champion. All the greats in the past got on the pace very quickly rather than spending seasons getting their acts together - this is exactly what Stoner has done. He always seemed to have an old head on young shoulders too. Let's hope the race goes the Aussies' way again with Chris Vermeulen on the Podium as well.

I have pre-emtively struck this thread with spoiler as I am pretty sure someone will put the result in early from foxtel.

rossi is THE man, but it was good to see stoner stay sensible and not have the win it or bin it attitude, keeping his eyes on the championship
